About

Project Secret Santa is a community-led initiative dedicated to bringing joy, inclusion, and practical support to vulnerable children, young people, and families experiencing financial hardship. Based in Winchester, we currently support communities across Hampshire and, as we continue to grow, hope to expand our reach to benefit even more children across the country.

What began as a small grassroots project has grown into a powerful community effort. With the support of volunteers, local organisations, and businesses, we now create and distribute hundreds of gift-filled stockings each year for children and young people aged 3-18yrs who may otherwise go without during the Christmas period.

Each stocking is thoughtfully prepared with age-appropriate gifts and essential items, including school supplies, books, toiletries, hats, gloves, toys, crafts and treats, helping every child feel valued, included, and remembered.

We work closely with social services and community partners to reach those most in need, including vulnerable children, young people in care, families facing financial hardship, and care leavers spending their first Christmas independently.

At the heart of Project Secret Santa is community. From volunteers hand-sewing stockings to supporters donating gifts, organising workplace collections, or helping at wrapping events, the project brings people together in a shared act of kindness and connection.

Our mission is simple: to ensure that no child or young person feels forgotten at Christmas.

Please take a look at our volunteer page if you would like to help by sewing stockings, organising a gift collection, volunteering at an event, or supporting the project in any way.

Let’s come together to share the true spirit of Christmas!
